Small Blue Leg Hermit Crabs 10 lot

Blue Leg Hermit Crabs, (Clibanarius tricolor) are an excellent part of your aquariums Clean Up Crew! They are a smaller Hermit Crab ranging from roughly 1/4 to 1/2 Inch at the time of purchase although can grow to live in larger shells.  They excel at removing hair algae and detritus from your Substrate and Live Rock. They can also help with removing Cyanobacteria as well as various nuisance algae from both your rocks and substrate.  They are safe to add to most Reef Aquariums as well as most Macro Algae planted tanks.  They may however eat some fleshy algae like scroll algae, halymenia, and ulva. Blue Leg Hermit Crabs will grow and require extra shells to move into as they do. Although considered Reef Safe they will attack snails for their shells is not provided with other options.
